BIS Hallmark & Purity

​

Gold jewellery sold by Durga Jewels by Mittal is BIS hallmarked wherever applicable, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Jewellery is crafted in standard purities such as 22K or 18K, as specified at the time of order.

For customised or made-to-order jewellery, BIS hallmarking is completed after final production, subject to design feasibility and regulatory requirements. In rare cases where hallmarking is not applicable due to design limitations, the same will be clearly communicated to the customer prior to order confirmation.

BIS hallmarking certifies gold purity only. Diamonds, gemstones, pearls, and other materials are certified separately where applicable.

Gold Rate & Weight Variation

​

Gold prices are subject to daily market fluctuations. The final price of jewellery is calculated based on the prevailing gold rate on the date of order confirmation or billing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

As all jewellery is handcrafted, minor variations in weight, measurements, or finish may occur during production. Such variations, within permissible industry standards, shall not be considered a defect. Final billing is based on the actual finished weight of the jewellery.

Custom Jewellery – No Return or Refund

​

All customised and made-to-order jewellery is crafted exclusively as per the customer’s approved design and specifications.

Accordingly:

• Custom jewellery is non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable

• Orders cannot be cancelled once design approval and confirmation are completed

• Any changes requested after approval may attract additional charges and revised timelines

Returns or exchanges will be considered only in case of a verified manufacturing defect, reported within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photographic or video evidence.

This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, which exempt customised goods from mandatory return obligations.
